Camino Artifacts

I've included photos of a few Camino artifacts you may find interesting. As always, email at Chris@30daystosantiago.com with any questions.

My Credential (aka "Pilgrim's Passport") - This is a copy of the document I carried with me and showed to the refugio wardens each day in order to receive a stamp. The stamps mark progress along the Camino - I had to produce this as evidence of my journey in order to receive my Compostela.

My Compostela - This is the official certificate of completion I received from the Cathedral at Santiago upon successful completion of the Camino.

Finnish Camino Book Cover - Ok, so this deserves an explanation for sure! This is the cover of a book written by Finnish author and historian Kari Selen. I met Kari while walking the Camino - he is an interesting and inspiring person. Not long after completing the Camino, I received a copy of this book from Kari - it is his memoir of the journey. I am mentioned several times (I don't read Finnish but "Chris" is "Chris" in Finnish so I can easily identify the references...I just don't know what my good friend is actually saying! Anyway, the book's title in english is "For the Sake of the Scallop Shell" - it is presumably available in a Finnish bookstore near you!

Below the image of the book cover, I've included a page from the book that includes a photo of me in a moment of misery...soaking my foot in salt water. My ailment was Achilles tendinitis, ouch!
