Organizations

Below is a list of popular English language Camino related organizations. Each site and organization is different of course, but all provide good information about the Camino. If you discover another great Camino site, let me know and I’ll add it here – send an email to chris@30daystosantiago.com.

Confraternity of St. James – this is a London based organization that has been in existence for several years. They maintain a content rich website and they also have a bookshop. Many of the sites on this page did not exist when I was preparing for the Camino, I found the Confraternity's website very helpful.

American Pilgrims on the Camino – this is a US based organization somewhat recently established. There site contains useful information, particularly in the book section. They also plan annual pilgrim gathering events across the US.

The Irish Society of the Friends of St. James – a very well organized site. Of particular interest is the Pilgrim’s Stories section.

Canadian Company of Pilgrims – A Canada based organization. The site contains interesting photo and recipe pages

Confraternity of St. James of South Africa – contains a good FAQ and Reflections page

The Archdiocese of Santiago de Compostela (English site) – This organization oversees the Catholic Church and Cathedral in Santiago. They publish useful information, including the statistics I publish on the Camino Statistics page of this site.
